This is a very cute nail shop. However, the owner is completely unprofessional. While I was there I waited at least an hour for her to finish on one customer. Then while I was waiting, another customer came in who wanted a set of acrylic nails put on. The owner literally told her that she wouldn't do it because her nails were fine. The customer left probably to give her business to another salon. It doesn't matter what the owner wanted, it matters what the customer wants. The owner has a very hauty attitude and shared her opinions about everyone and everything giving me the impression of a very immature business owner. I do not expect this business to make it.

As a nail technician that is our job to tell people when they need and don't need a certain service or when they are about to do something that in some way could damage the natural nail. Even though we might not get to make the extra money for performing a certain service, it is better than just trying to make that extra dollar and risk permanently damaging a clients nails. Would you risk taking someone in and giving them a pedicure to make the $30 extra dollars when you know that it could spread to another client? Would you want your doctor to tell you that you needed some type of surgery just so he could make some extra money when he knew that it might endanger some part of your body? NO you wouldn't. So even though you do not want to turn down the service you have to for the best interest and safety of the client.

I have to say that I truly love this salon. In response to Danielle, I first had a similar experience wherein the owner told me that I really did not need acrylic nails. She then proceeded to tell me why that would be unhealthy for my nails (I did have trouble in the past with a salon that did not care and continually applied the acrylics - my nails became thin, weak and it took months to grow back). Instead she gave me a great lesson on nail health, what I needed to do to keep them healthy, and I have had beautiful nails ever since without spending a small fortune. I appreciate her candor and expertise. additionally, this is a very comfortable and welcoming atmosphere, the prices are fair, the customer service excellent. If you do not want to wait for an hour - just make an appointment! the owner says...they even speak English.
