Pascagoula house fire claims a life
One person is dead, and neighbors are filled with questions following a fire early Wednesday morning in Pascagoula. The Pascagoula Fire Department was able to extinguish the blaze on Cleveland Avenue after hours of fighting.
A house burns in Pascagoula; one person dies
An early morning fire ignited in Pascagoula. WLOX News has confirmed one person died inside the burning home. A Pascagoula police spokesman says rescue teams rushed to the house on Cleveland Avenue around 4:00 a.m. They contained the fire to that building. But, we're told they couldn't reach the person trapped by the flames.

La Pointe Krebs House gets $200K grant for restoration project
One of Jackson County's oldest and most well know historical sites is about to get a big boost for restoration efforts. The Mississippi Department of Archives and History announced Wednesday the La Pointe Krebs House, formerly known as the Old Spanish Fort, is set to receive $200,000 from the Community Heritage Preservation Grant.
